A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is integral to DPE’s mission, and these values shape the experience of every line that joins our sorority!
Lovely events like WOC Dinner and Queer and Questioning Brunch open up spaces for sisters with specific identities to find tight pockets of community inside our sisterhood.
When they’re not sharing a meal and bonding over shared experiences, sisters go beyond the Georgetown bubble! On Sunday, November 9th, we ventured downtown for a visit to the National Museum of Women in the Arts, which celebrates the unique contributions made by women and other gender minorities to the world of art and culture.
The last DEI event of the semester was a Cultural Potluck hosted by Dechen, one of our DEI Co-Chairs, just this past Sunday. Sisters brought foods from Korean japchae to Greek tiropita and reflected on a semester well spent.
Huge shoutout to our amazing DEI Co-Chairs Jyostna & Dechen Atsatsang for organizing these incredible events. We can’t wait to see what you two have in store for the spring!
