The Alpha Chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Sorority condemns the unconstitutional targeting, detention, and deportation of United States visa and green card holders. The administration’s attempts to curtail First Amendment rights are contrary to DPE’s core mission and present a threat to the well-being of our community. All humans have the right to diversity of thought and opinion, without fear of discrimination, censorship, arrest, or deportation. To facilitate successful careers in international relations, DPE members are sworn to support the laws of their country, and fight for freedom, justice, and human rights. We believe that the stifling of political dissent is fundamentally incompatible with those ideals and with effective global cooperation. Delta Phi Epsilon remains committed to fighting for human rights.
